So I just finished this book and I have to say, It was amazing. This is a intense, dramatic read and you won't see the end coming at all, I was really shocked. This book is pretty gruesome and not a great read for just anybody, but if you have ever self-injured or thought about it or experienced someone who does it, I would reccommend for about ages 14-19. This book is also centered around a girl who goes through sexual abuse. The only fault that this book has is it is very repetitive, and she talks about cutting herself a lot, it almost got very annoying to me that she depended on it so much but I kept reading on and enjoyed it. This book is a very real harsh truth in today's society and the author comes from a history of self-harming and she captures the portrayal of the narrator perfectly which is very hard for most authors. This book is thin and sort of short but can convey a great story easily, I never brought this book around public simply because people will judge it just by the cover, and will be creeped out but it is a beautifully written book. I didn't want to put it down!

I'm sure EVERYBODY has at least heard of the twilight series, if not, you are WAY out of the loop. Now personally I didn't understand the hype about them until I read them and I was instantly hooked, I read the first book in the series almost 4 years ago and my-my time has passed and the movies are finally out except Breaking Dawn Part 2 which is coming out in November 2012. I rushed through the first book, eager to see the first movie that was coming out the next day. and of course I followed through the entire series and began to really enjoy seeing the plot line build and everything, but as the reason for the three stars, when you go back and re-analyze this book series, the plot is very very simple, it has been over-done way too many times, it's basically really just a forbidden love that can never be except that it does end up happening and the day is saved, people are mad that they fell in love but they learn to deal with it and accept it and that's really about it. Stephenie Meyer actually came up with the idea during a dream! I really wish she could have put more planning, maybe some more twists and turns in the story but really it all just plans out how you would expect it too. It wasn't a extremely riveting book that I just couldn't put down, yet it was not a book that I could leave unfinished, I simply had to know what happened in the end, I was not disappointed really but each book had a cliff-hanger ending that made you rush out to go buy the next one. I believe that's really how she made the money, and that's how most authors SHOULD leave the book, you must leave the readers wanting more. I know a lot of people that did not enjoy this book at all and said it's very childish and has no plot, etc. and I can understand where they are coming from, "Bella" is very repetitive and almost obsessive towards "Edward" and makes it very monotonous and annoying almost. I really believe this book is based at a more teenage/child audience instead of adult, but there is the exception of those "Twi-Moms" that are just super weird and creepy (no offense) and fell in love with the series. Overall I wouldn't exactly recommend it to anyone simply because most people just won't enjoy it unless you're into the forbidden love, simple plot line, repetitive narration, etc. I also haven't met ANY guy who has read this book, guys are just simply not into this book.. or reading, period. More for girls ranged about 10-12, I'd be careful if my future daughter read this though because I'd be scared she'd get obsessed and be a little fan-girl. It's one of those books. Well that's my two-cents, spend it wisely.
